The JSA-1228 integrates a proximity sensor (PXS), a 940nm IR VCSEL and an SMBus compatible I2C Interface into one chip. Proximity sensor detects the human or object approach by reflection of IR light. It built in algorithm auto to calibrate the crosstalk between the IR VCSEL and sensor. The wide dynamic range also allows for operation in short distance detection behind dark glass.
